Hi Everyone here is your April 2025 Update.
Funding News: • Successful Applications:
- $15,440 (Lion and Bobby Foundations) for a second coaching boat. This should be ready for next season along with the new trailer.
Club Updates:Regattas - As the season comes to an end we look back on our successes and the fun we had along the way. Congratulations to Luke and Jimmy on their U22 trials. Also to the Women's Intermediate quad who joined with Oamaru to gain a Silver medal at Club Nationals in the Intermediate Eight.
LTR: The next season’s Learn to row will begin in early May after the school holidays. Please let anyone know that they are welcome to come down and give rowing a go on Sunday mornings and Wednesday afternoons through winter.
Coaching 2025/26: Coaching for next season is still being finalised but training will begin after the school holidays.
Reminders for Members
- Working Bee: Sat 26 April 8am. Sort out the shed and identify winter boat repairs needed. We need volunteers to help with boat repairs and speaker wiring for coxed boats moving forward
- Prizegiving: Sunday 11 May 4pm. Last year's recipients please return awards to the Secretary by the end of April.
- Committee Vacancy: Vice Club Captain - Anyone interested contact Secretary for details.
- AGM: This will be held in June once accounts are finalised for the year.
