July 2025 Newsletter
Kia ora everyone,
As July draws to a close, the days are gradually getting longer, and early morning light is beginning to return. Over the school holidays, two of our intermediate boys were fortunate to attend a training camp at Lake Mangakino. Despite the winter chill, they enjoyed stunning conditions and plenty of rowing—mainly in eights—which was a fantastic way to kick off the next phase of their training.
At the same time, several of our athletes participated in an Interprovincial (IP) camp as part of their build-up for the Interprovincial Regatta, taking place at Lake Karāpiro on 27–28 September.
A big shoutout to Cat, Karlina, Jimmy, Luke, Luca, and Matt, who are all training alongside other regional athletes in preparation. And congratulations to Jimmy on his U22 selection—best of luck to him as he heads to Adelaide this weekend!
