Hi Everyone,
Thank you to everyone who has already joined the club via our new website and club management system. This has been a bit of a work in progress over the past six months as we first tried to make it work with our existing platforms and then realised that it was unable to do everything we needed to try and make the job of admin a bit easier.
At the most recent Committee meeting we set that the 2024 Annual General Meeting will be held at 10.00 am on Saturday 14th September in the Waters Edge lounge. This will be directly after Saturday morning rows so please make some time to come and support your club. The AGM will also be run with the new Constitution that was adopted at the recent Special Meeting, thus we will be requiring nominations for positions in writing before the AGM.  More information will be send out shortly specific to the AGM. The positions which are available this year will be:

  • The President (who is also the Chairperson) 2yrs
  • The Club Captain 1yr
  • The Secretary 2yrs
  • The Treasurer 1yr
  • The Vice Club Captain 2yrs
  • General Committee Member 1yr
  • General Committee Member 2yrs

Four of the positions are for a two year term, the others are for one year to get the Committee in sync with our new Constitution.
The week before this AGM we will also be holding a working bee at the club on the 7th September. This will be a tidy up of the lounge along with other general maintenance around the building. Our lounge manager has managed to get bookings up considerably over the last year but we do require a bit of a tidy up to ensure this venue continues to bring in the money that helps subsidise the costs the rowing club incurs. Please bring a bucket with you, we will supply cleaning materials.  We will also hold a sausage sizzle during this working bee.
Supporters shirts are going to be available this season to purchase. These will be maroon with the club logo on the back. $55 each and we will make these available through the website.
Later next month we have a number of athletes competing in the Inter Provincial Regatta at Karapiro. Currently they are training with their regional squads on Sundays along with their existing training during the week.
Congratulations to: James Hollard, Luke Berquist, Jack McClutchie, Luca Harris, Matt Ryder, James Scott, Amy Everitt, Karlina Steiner and Lara Menefy on their selection.
We have recently shared the dates for the upcoming season and are shown here for you to check over the busy summer ahead.
As always a huge thank you to all parents, teachers, coaches, and rowers for supporting our wonderful rowing club.
