President's May Newsletter
Hi Everyone
The last week has certainly seen the cold begin. The feet were very cold putting boats in the water on Sunday and I can only imagine how cold the Novice girls who managed to tip out of a quad were.
On May the 4th we held our annual Prize Giving in the Waters Edge lounge. Congratulations to the prize winners. It was great to see so many families coming along to celebrate our successes over the past year and also for us to wish our representative athletes well on their upcoming trips. Jimmy and Luke to Australia for U21 Champs, James to Germany for Universities Champs and Jordan on a whirlwind tour through Europe for three months culminating in the Olympics in Paris.

With this being the end of one season we are very quickly on to the next with Novice training having started on the 5th May, Intermediate rowers on the 18th and Club athletes back from the 1st June.
This year we are trying to use one platform for all the club member management which will be our Sporty website. All members will need to fill in a membership form from the "Register Today" button on the website at https://www.taurangarowingclub.co.nz/ which will enable us to have a clean slate of all members in one place. This also allows us to use the integration with our accounting software.
A huge thank you to all, parents, teachers, coaches and rowers for supporting our wonderful rowing club.
