Presidents Newsletter - April 2024
Hi Everyone
March was a busy month starting with the North Island Secondary Schools Regatta where we got to see our schools racing in their colours for the first time this season. Some great results with 12 A Finals and 8 B Finals. Amy Everitt getting on the dias for gold and silver in the u16 1x and u17 1x and Peer Czorny silver in the u17 1x.
Maadi was next and what a pleasure to see our schools participating. Some initial stress as the ferry was cancelled on the Wednesday morning prior which meant Troy had to go on a later sailing and then race the athletes to the lake. In our results a special congratulations to Amy for her amazing Gold Medal success in the u16 single sculls and u17 single sculls following on from NISS.
2024/2025 Learn to Row
The Learn to Row ran twice a week for three weeks. This was very successful, and we had a great turn out every session. A big thanks to the coaches and rowers who came along to help. We could not have done this without you and we very much appreciate your efforts
